State I: Thirty-five-color woodcut printed from hand-carved blocks of cherry wood with natural dyes and with additional hand-coloring on handmade Hosho paper. Numbered edition of 500 + 33 proofs. Signed and numbered in pencil on the verso by the artist. Carved and printed under the direction of Tadakatsu Takamizawa by Hanpei Okura and Kanjiro Sato respectively at the Ukiyo-e Research Center in Tokyo, Japan.


State II: State I plus the addition of UV printing. Published by Gate 44 under the supervision of master printmaker Gianluca Craca in an edition of 270 plus 26 proofs: 16 printers proof annotated 1/16 – 16/16 and 10 artists proofs annotated 1/10 – 10/10. Each State II print is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity bearing the Gate 44 embossing, the Catharine Clark Gallery stamp, and the artist’s signature or that of the estate.
