Vetne, 2/12/25: This piece was made on a birch panel manufactured by Simon Liu and coated on both sides with shellac. A layer of thin cotton muslin was adhered to the panel using rabbit skin glue. Following that, I applied several layers of the Natural Pigments silverpoint ground, tinted with pigment, and sanded it down with 400 grit sandpaper. The drawing itself is made with goldpoint and a nickel silver scratch brush. I added touches of graphite at the very end, as well as white highlights in egg tempera.
