Originally commissioned in 2018 for the San Francisco Art Institute’s Fort Mason MFA building, "Photograph Yourself Naked at Your Parents House” consists of 8 hand-sewn felt banners. Hung from the rafters of the SFAI building, myths, legends, lies, and misremembered stories of past student art works were presented on the banners as both cautionary tales to be never repeated and/or possible instructions to future students.
The project was originally curated by: Hesse McGraw, (former Vice President for Exhibitions and Public Programs, SFAI); and Jonn Herschend and Will Rogan (The THING Quarterly)
