The acclaimed pianist Sarah Cahill will be performing at Catharine Clark Gallery in response to Amy Trachtenberg's solo exhibition, "Listening Chamber." The exhibition will be on view from July 13th to September 14th. This event is brought to you by BOXBLUR and EXiT.

Sarah Cahill, hailed as "a sterling pianist and an intrepid illuminator of the classical avant-garde" by The New York Times and "a brilliant and charismatic advocate for modern and contemporary composers" by Time Out New York, has commissioned and premiered over seventy works for solo piano, and has worked closely with composers Terry Riley, Pauline Oliveros, John Adams, Roscoe Mitchell, Annea Lockwood, and many more.

Amy Trachtenberg is a multidisciplinary artist whose work includes painting, collage, sculpture, language and installation. Utilizing a range of techniques and materials, there is an awareness of natural phenomenon and ideas about disputed memory. While including what exists from the found world, she explores relationships between color, space, architecture and the body. Beyond their abstract leanings, the tension between politics and poetics is a driving force.

BOXBLUR hosts and produces socially engaged performative projects that are often experimental and realized in conversation with visual artists' work. BOXBLUR frequently collaborates with organizations that amplify communal values, seeking to expand the presentation and definition of performance in non-proscenium settings.

EXiT is an artist bookstore and boutique space attached to the Catharine Clark Gallery that serves as a community space with a focus on collaboration and accessibility.
