Following a successful collaborative presentation at the 2024 SF Art Book Fair, EXiT at Catharine Clark Gallery announces a special Print and Drawing Room exhibition in conjunction with 222 Press, opening Wednesday, July 24 with a reception from 6 - 8pm. The exhibition features new and recent prints published by 222 Press with artists Erik Bender, Tyler Cross, and Ryan Whelan. The works on view consider the interplay between mark marking, language, taxonomies, and ordering systems.
222 Press is a printmaking and publishing outfit founded in 2022 by Drew Grasso dedicated to fine art printing and photography, with a specific focus on long term collaborative relationships with both emerging and established artists. 222 Press’s initial releases featured original multiples by painters Erik Bender and Ryan Whelan; the press has also collaborated with Tyler Cross, Léonie Guyer, and Liz Hernández, with a forthcoming project by cross-disciplinary artist Penelope Anstruther.
