Catharine Clark Gallery presents an evening of stories by Leonora Carrington (1917 - 2011) on August 3rd, 2018. Similar to the dream-like scenes depicted in her works on paper in the gallery's current exhibition, Carrington's stories also blur the boundaries between fiction and reality. In the spirit of Carrington's imagery and art historical position as a surrealist, the readers will incorporate performative elements into their readings. We are excited an honored to welcome three special readers for this event: Indira Allegra, Monique Jenkinson, and Helen Shumaker. Stories will be read campfire style, so please bring your own pillows and blankets (chairs will also be provided).
